For Connoisseurs 1

The List No. 2, in addition to the new images, reminisces parts of the known Images of Chaos from Helium in the small box (1991) for string orchestra, Six scenes – Comments for three violins and orchestra (2001) and Who shot the Seagull? For twelve cellos (2005). Illusory beauty of those images of sound is put here in a more “realistic” context – Hieronymus Bosch’s miraculous Hell from the Garden of Earthly Delights (also mentioned in Umberto Eco’s La vertigine della lista / The Infinity of Lists, 2009). This hell is (un)usual, (un)explicable but well organized, and is constantly intensified and altered. “Sound sculptures” such as Antigone in New York, Banović Strahinja and Karoline Neuber from Boro Drašković’s and Nikita Milivojević’s theater performances, indicate its different nature nature in it. Their simplicity is no longer so naive and controlled, because the new sound that surrounds them indicates an altered images of sound and meaning of subsistence.
