Did the Vikings or Christopher Columbus cause the permanent confusion in the understanding of the geographical layout of the world? Apparently, the Norsemen were the first to do so, but the concept of the new world remains somewhat abstract even today. In his perception of the new world, Dvorak incorporates Native American folklore into the yearning for his Czech homeland.
