Pavle Popović

Pavle Popović studied at the Hochschule der Musik und darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt on the Main in the classes of Michael Zanderling and Jan Ikert.
 
He has won more than 20 first prizes at competitions in the region – among them the Petar Konjovic Competition (2013, first prize) and the International String Competition in Niš (2013, special prize). He has participated at festivals such as BEMUS (Belgrade), the Bolshoj Festival (Mokra Gora), the Makarska Summer (Makarska), Piano Loop Festival (Split), Musikwochen Millstatt, and the 4th Musiktage (Feldafing). He has collaborated with various renowned artists – including Leonid Gorokhov (Germany), Ivan Kucher (Ukraine), Narek Haknazarjan (Armenia), Klaus-Christian Schuster (Austria), Anton Schehenhofer (Austria), Istvan Varga (Hungary), Chuan Juan (China), and Daniel Geis (Austria). He is a senior participant at the summer chamber music course colluvio in Austria. In January of 2019 he became a grantee of the Albert Eckstein Foundation from Ulm and plays on cello No. 14 made by Joseph Anton Haff in 1853.
