Justin Croushore, second trombone

Justin Croushore began performing with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra in 2017, and officially joined the orchestra in 2019. As a trombonist with a wide range of musical interests and experience, Justin maintains an active schedule performing with the Belgrade Philharmonic, his acclaimed chamber ensemble Some Assembly Required, and is in regular demand as a soloist, collaborator, and educator. Recently, he has appeared as a featured artist at the 2019 American Trombone Workshop, 2019 Kentucky Commonwealth Trombone Summit, 2017 KMEA Conference, and in 2020 he will perform as a guest artist at the International Trombone Festival in Osaka. He was a named finalist for the 2019 American Prize Ernst Bacon Prize for the Performance of American Music, is an eight-time Cincinnati Entertainment Award recipient, and in 2013 received the Creativity Foundation Legacy Prize for demonstrating creative talent and a commitment to public service. Dr. Croushore completed his studies at the University of Kentucky, Longy School of Music, Bard College, and Morehead State University. He proudly performs on Giddings Mouthpieces and Getzen Trombones.
